DINNER OF ITALIAN PROFESSORS OF NEW ENGLAND – MARCH 2, 2026
The Consulate General of Italy in Boston organized the annual Dinner of Italian Professors in New England, set in the enchanting Cape Club of Sharon.
The 2026 edition was dedicated to Italian cuisine, recently recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, celebrating its value as an expression of identity, culture, and science. Accompanied by wines from the Sannio Wine Consortium, the event represented an important opportunity for meeting and dialogue with the Italian academic community in the Boston area, strengthening ties between Italy and the United States in research and culture.

ITALIAN DESIGN DAY: NAVE ALPINO – FEBRUARY 27, 2026
On the occasion of Italian Design Day 2026, the Consulate General of Italy in Boston, in collaboration with the Italian Navy, promoted an exclusive event aboard the Nave Alpino, a modern multi-role frigate of the FREMM class.
Docked in the port of Boston, the Nave Alpino represents an excellence of Italian engineering and design applied to the naval sector. With its advanced technological solutions, multifunctional operational capabilities, and focus on innovation, the ship embodied the distinctive values of Italian “know-how,” combining aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability.
The initiative offered a unique opportunity to highlight the contribution of Italian design in industrial and strategic contexts, emphasizing the role of design as a key element for technological development and international cooperation.
