Visit of the Italian Trade Commissioner – 27 May 2024<\/strong><\/h3>\n

On May 27, 2024, Italian Trade Commissioner Erica Di Giovancarlo, Director of the ITA Office in New York and coordinator of the network in the United States, visited Boston. The mission focused on strengthening economic and commercial relations between Italy and Massachusetts. During the visit, institutional meetings were held with representatives of local and international organizations, fostering new opportunities for collaboration between the two systems.<\/p>\n

National Research \/ Scientific Innovation Day \u2013 a meeting with Prof. Federico Capasso from Harvard University was held at the Consulate.<\/p>\n

During the talk, the Professor presented the topic \u201cReinventing Lenses,\u201d illustrating the evolution of his research towards the concept of flat lenses and highlighting its significant implications for science and technology, particularly in consumer markets.<\/p>\n

The event helped promote Boston as the Capital of Italian Creativity in the World.<\/p>\n
